The FGW&#8217;s partner universities have implemented the DFG&#8217;s guidelines in their own directives or regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni-potsdam.de\/de\/mnfakul\/forschung\/good-scientific-practice-panel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>University of Potsdam<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mhb-fontane.de\/files\/Dateien\/Forschung\/20240625_MHB_Ordnung_Wissenschaftliche_Praxis_end%20mit%20HS.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><strong>Brandenburg Medical School Theodor Fontane<\/strong> (MHB)<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www-docs.b-tu.de\/youngacademics\/public\/Satzung_Sicherung_gute_wiss_Praxis_2024_de.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU)<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A responsible handling of these data is essential. And this is a requirement not just for the scientists, but also for the scientific institutions. Our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fgw-brandenburg.de\/en\/supporting-universities\/\">supporting universities<\/a> have therefore drawn up <strong>guidelines<\/strong>&nbsp;that, in addition to the Senate\u2019s recommendations, aim to facilitate the&nbsp;<strong>handling of research data<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"university-of-potsdam\">University of Potsdam<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To provide orientation for the researchers at the University of Potsdam, the Senate has adopted a research data policy containing five principles. The research data policy is supplemented by specific recommendations for action from the Senate Committee for Research and Junior Scientific Researchers. Where possible, research data should be published as open research data in accordance with the FAIR principles, whereby sensitive data may be restricted to open metadata. In addition to open research data, the following aspects are part of open science:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open access<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open research data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open research software<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open evaluation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open educational resources<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Citizen science and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open infrastructure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These areas are at different stages of development at the university. Further information on all areas can be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni-potsdam.de\/en\/openscience\/index\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University of Potsdam&#8217;s website on open science<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"brandenburg-technical-university-cottbus-senftenberg-btu\">Brandenburg Technical University Cottbus \u2013 Senftenberg (BTU)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The BTU proclaims the importance of research data in the scientific cognitive process and encourages the sustainable archiving and availability of research data within the meaning of its principles to ensure good scientific practice. The Academic Senate has therefore adopted a guidelines for handling research data, which entered into force on 18 October 2019. The BTU advises and supports its researchers in implementing the principles and requirements formulated in the guideline.
