There has been a Faculty for Health Sciences since 2018.

FGW is the German abbreviation for Faculty for Health Sciences.

A large number of people study here.

The FGW is a project involving several universities:

The University of Potsdam,

the Brandenburg Medical School,

and the Brandenburg Technical University Cottbus-Senftenberg.

Studying and working

at the University of Potsdam

should be easily possible for people:

  • with an illness,
  • with disabilities,
  • with young children.

There is also research at the FGW.

Research means:

You look at something in depth.

You investigate something.

And you write down what you have found out.

Research is important.

For example, for medicine.

Or for the economy.

You can research in several areas at the FGW.

For example:

  • how to prevent illnesses,
  • how to nurse people properly,
  • how age works.
