The Study Guidance Office of the Faculty of Health Sciences supports you as a student in all matters relating to your studies—from study planning and exam organization to personal concerns in everyday student life. Our goal is to provide guidance, identify individual paths, and offer solution-oriented support when challenges arise.
In addition, clear structures are in place for feedback and complaints. The complaint management system ensures that your concerns are taken seriously, handled transparently, and used to further develop studies and teaching. On this page, you will find the relevant contact persons, contact details, and information on the procedure.

Are there certain aspects of your studies that you are dissatisfied with, or do you feel that you have been treated unfairly? Depending on the nature of your complaint, there are various contact persons available at the Faculty of Health Sciences who can provide you with appropriate assistance.
If you have difficulties with the scope of the course, the design of the course content, or the planning of exam dates for a specific course or module, it is best to discuss this with the course or module coordinator. You can find the list of module coordinators for the individual modules in PULS.
If you have any questions about study or curriculum planning, study and examination regulations, the course of study, or the organization of the master’s program in Public Health, Exercise, and Nutrition, please contact your program coordinator: pen-coordination[at]uni-potsdam.de.
The Examination Board is responsible, for example, if a teacher requires an examination that is not provided for in the subject-specific regulations; if a teacher deviates from the provisions of the BAMA-O; or if a course does not correspond to the objectives of the module. The members of the examination boards are elected by the faculty council. An overview of the members can be found under Faculty Committees. Please contact the chairperson first.
The Study Commission is responsible for evaluating assessments, developing measures, and (further) developing degree programs. As a student, you can contact the Study Commission at any time, especially if you have specific suggestions for improving the degree programs. A list of members can be found under Faculty Committees. Please contact the chairperson first.
The Dean of Studies is responsible for organizing and implementing the study program and will treat your concerns confidentially. You can contact the Dean of Studies in the event of serious personal conflicts with teachers or staff, as well as in the event of structural problems in the quality management system. You can reach the Dean of Studies at olaf.ahlers[at]fgw-brandenburg.de.
There are also complaints offices at our partner universities. The University of Potsdam has compiled various information and set up contact persons, which you can find on the University of Potsdam Complaints Office website.
If you are studying health services research at MHB, you can also contact the MHB complaints office.
If you experience unequal treatment or discrimination during your studies, please contact our Equal Opportunities Officer Paula Theobald at fgw-gba[at]uni-potsdam.de.
We have compiled further information on equality at the faculty on our overview page on the topic of equality at the FGW.
